Discover the Magic of Millbrook & The Rame Peninsula

Millbrook is a vibrant, quirky village where artistic flair meets riverside calm. From the house, a two-minute walk brings you to the lake—perfect for birdwatching, lakeside picnics, or watching the kids at the revamped skatepark.

Known as the “Forgotten Corner,” the Rame Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wander through the historic villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, known for their, colourful cottages, narrow streets, and historic smuggling past, or take a short 3km drive to the golden sands of Whitsand Bay—one of the best surfing and dog-walking spots on the south coast.

Whether you’re hiking the South West Coast Path or catching the ferry to Plymouth Barbican, adventure is always just around the corner.

Meet Your Hosts: Jeremy & Kate

Hi there! We’re Jeremy and Kate, and we are so excited to welcome you to our little slice of Cornwall.

Our story is a bit of a mix of "sea and sky." Jeremy is Millbrook born and bred with a career spent out on the water, while Kate originated from Brighton and spent years flying around the globe as cabin crew. We’ve both travelled the world, but we truly believe there is nowhere quite like the Rame Peninsula.

We eventually traded our global travels to settle down here in "Cornwall’s Forgotten Corner," and we haven't looked back since. Whether it’s sharing our favourite walking spots, recommending the best independent local pubs, or just helping you settle into the house, we love nothing more than helping our guests discover why this village is so special.

We’ve put our hearts into making High Cross House a unique, relaxing retreat, and we can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself. See you soon!

High Cross House was exactly what myself and our large group needed, lovely house, ideal location and a very enjoyable New Years stay. Felt right at home and would 100% stay again if going back to that neck of the woods.
